To
run here and there
The
spiritual activity of man cannot be abstracted from his condition of
incarnation.
There is no authentic thought which cannot get its hands dirty and
stumble on stones of the path.

To
run here and there. This implies movement and difference. Movement
through difference.
Nature combines the differences; man crosses them and conquers them.
The logos raises them ad infinitum in the natural complexity. It thus
opens an infinite space for a discursive process. An increasingly
multiple multiplicity is articulated according to the requirement of
more and more unity. Each topic moment is articulated in the opening
of a utopian 'going beyond'. Without this process of articulation,
nothing could be done in this structural world which is ours and
which carries and conditions our manual or intellectual action.
This
process is characterized primarily by a differential combinatory .
Different structural elements, differently combined, give rise to
various elementary structures differently combinable to increasingly
complex structures. Any human productivity is thus discursive, and,
therefore, obeys the laws of the discourse par excellence which is
the language. Science, for example, is a certain 'speech', beside
other speeches, more or less concrete, more or less abstracted, like
poetry, philosophy, rites, architecture, painting, art of cooking,
etc. A clock mechanism, for example, is in itself a kind of
technician speech which articulates material elements. A scientific
theory is a speech which articulates symbolic and rational elements.
The spoken word is a speech which articulates phonemes, morphemes,
lexemes, sentences…
The
thought
is first a discursive process. It proceeds dialectically between
structure and rupture.

As well in the field of thought as of human action there is no creation
which does not pass by a destruction. Finally, the last word is not
with the structure but with the rupture.
